Recognizing Signs of Stroke Risk

graphic_eqVoice Interaction
I know they said I had a mild stroke, but how would I know if it happens again?
nurse avatarThat’s an important thing to be aware of. If a stroke is happening, the key warning signs usually follow the FAST method.
FAST stands for:
  • Face Drooping – One side of your face may feel numb or look uneven.
  • Arm Weakness – You might not be able to lift one arm fully.
  • Speech Difficulty – Words may come out slurred or hard to understand.
  • Time to Call 911 – If you notice any of these signs, it’s important to seek help immediately.
I’ll send a quick reference guide to your phone so you have it handy if you ever need to check.
Yeah, that’d be good to have.
I just sent it over. Hopefully, you’ll never need it, but it’s always better to be prepared.
There’s a lot to keep track of, but you don’t have to remember everything at once. I’m always here if you have questions or need to go over anything again.
Alright, I appreciate it.
You‘re welcome, Jim. Stroke recovery takes time, and I’m here to guide you. If it would help, I can send daily reminders with tips to keep you on track. Would you like me to set that up for you?
Yeah, that’d be helpful.
Alright, I’ll start sending those tomorrow. You’ll get short, easy tips to support your recovery, and if you ever want to change how often you receive them, just let me know.
